In response to the immense challenge to reconstruct the Museu Nacional, UFRJ, UNESCO, and Instituto Cultural Vale signed a technical cooperation agreement and initiated the Projet Museu Nacional Vive. Currently, the initiative counts on financial support from BNDES, and silver sponsorship from Bradesco and Vale; the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Technological, the Federal Congress, Alerj, and the Federal Government also support the Museum using the Culture Incentive Law.
The New Museu Nacional/UFRJ Research and Education Campus Museu Nacional/UFRJ has now an Administrative Module.
